About Training Camp2019
For the third year in a row Carpe Diem BJJ will hold a training camp to prepare for the IBJJF Asian Open on September 13, 14, and 15 in Tokyo. Last year’s camp was a success that brought together many jujutsu competitors from all around the world and from all levels and ambitions. The Carpe Diem BJJ team took first place at the championship and we hope to duplicate the result this year! With a growing number of participants, this year we have decided to separate the camp into two locations. Lightweights (under 75kg) should go to the Hiroo dojo. The camp will be led by Asians champions Tomoyuki Hashimoto, Keito Oyanagi, Shoya Ishiguro and Koshiro Hirata. Heavyweights (75kg and over) should go to the Jiyugaoka dojo, where Asians champions Haisam Rida and Reda Mebtouche will lead the camp. These weight categories are of course not exclusive. Lightweights are free to visit the heavyweight camp or drill with the lights, for example, and vice versa. Separation by weight class reflects the way our staff trains for these events.Camp participants are free to visit any CDBJJ dojo and attend any class without restriction. All the dojos are located in Tokyo, making it easy to enjoy your stay in Tokyo between sessions to the fullest as you train.
